Recap: Information Session “How to Apply Successfully for Your Study Abroad Semester”
On 11 November 2025, the information session on applying for a study semester abroad provided a brief overview of the requirements, procedures, deadlines, and the Moveon portal, as well as tips for writing motivation letters. Thank you to all participants!
Virtual Talk with the European Commission: Insights into Institutions, Trade Policy and AI Tools
On 2 December 2025, students took part in a virtual discussion with Ulrich Trautmann from the European Commission. The session covered the key EU institutions and how responsibilities are divided, as well as the Council’s working methods and the use of modern AI tools. During the Q&A session, students asked questions about the challenges of translating across 24 official languages and issues related to the Common Agricultural Policy.
European Forum 2025: Saxony-Anhalt, Europe and 35 Years of German Unity
At the Europe Forum 2025, representatives from politics, diplomacy, and academia discussed 35 years of German unity and Saxony-Anhalt’s role in Europe. Differences in East–West European perspectives and a call for greater youth engagement were key themes. We thank all participants, especially our students, for their active contributions.
Welcome Week 2025 – A great start to the new Semester!
Welcome Week 2025 provided our EUS students with a wonderful start to the new semester – featuring introductory sessions, new connections, and two Friday highlights: the presentation of the MA projects and a guided city tour through Magdeburg.
